“Toward Circular Construction” – European stakeholder consultations

We kindly linvite all interested stakeholders from construction industry to a consultation meeting devoted to the implementation of circular construction solutions.
The meeting will be held on May 17 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the headquarters of the Building Research Institute at 1 Flirtowa Street in Warsaw.
During the full-day workshop, we will want to discuss with you circular criteria for construction products and services that should be considered in public procurement and tenders, GOZ construction strategies, and the availability and feasibility of using circular low-carbon materials.
The meeting will also be a space to exchange experiences and present interesting best practices. If you would like to present your solutions in this area, please contact us. We anticipate a dedicated session for the presentation of circular solutions already on the market.
We will present the outlines delivered by each responsible partner. Than we will consult the audience to find out:
- If the current outline fits their needs
- What is neglected and needs to be added
- What specific elements, inside the sections of the outline need to be taken into account in the final guideline
- If there are any superfluous points not worth mentioning
- If there are any other comments and suggestions

8:45 – 9:00 Reception
9:00 – 9:15 Introduction to the CircCon4Climate project as well as the significance and need of circular transition in the built environment
9:15 – 10:30 Presentation of the outline of Circular Procurement Guideline draft with explanation (ca. 15 min) with consecutive consultations along the 5 points enumerated above (ca. 45 min). Presentation of the regional material cadastres potential, possibly through a video call from German partners in English (ca. 5-15 min).
10:30 – 10:45 Coffee break
10:45 – 13:00 Presentation of the outline of Circular Building Strategies Guideline draft with explanation (ca. 15 min) with consecutive consultations along the 5 points enumerated above (ca. 45 min). Presentation of the outline of Selection of circular and low-carbon building materials Guideline draft with explanation (ca. 15 min, possible by Slovenian partners online in English) with consecutive consultations along the 5 points enumerated above (ca. 45 min). Presentation on recycling academy plan of actions and aspirations (ca. 15 min).
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
14:00 – 16:00 Presentation on circular economy practices and safe use of secondary materials (ca. 15 min) followed by participants’ own experience with circular or sustainable concepts in construction.
